    It is an exciting time for Netball in Wales. Following on from Welsh Netballs most successful World Cup in 24 years, with a 7th place finish in Australia 2015; and also recently securing the Franchise team (Celtic Dragons) in the Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL); the platform is in place to take the sport to a whole new level.

    The Celtic Dragons, continue to compete in this prestigious League, with a year round performance, development and engagement programme being delivered across Wales
    The Manager will be responsible for driving and delivering the commercial and performance success of the Celtic Dragons business, as well as empowering the team to deliver results across Performance & Profile. The League commences February 2017, and a Manager is required to start immediately. This is an extremely exciting role, and we are looking for an exceptional applicant to fill this position.

    Reporting into Welsh Netball CEO, and working alongside the Celtic Dragons Head Coach, and performance staff team, the Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Celtic Dragons brand and operation.

    The role will oversee the development of the brand and business, and lead the strategic direction of the organisation in line with Welsh Netballs core objectives around Performance, Profile and Development.

    Performance
    Support the Head Coach to:
    • Ensure the consistent delivery of a world class performance environment for the athletes at all times
    • Manage athlete logistics, contracts, welfare, support programme
    Commercial
    Responsible for the leadership, and day-to-day management of, Celtic Dragons. This will include
    • Budget management, financial planning & reporting
    • Contract negotiation
    • Business planning
    • Ticketing strategy
    • Identify and develop income revenue streams, including management of commercial product portfolio
    • Oversee strategy delivery and management of Marketing, Event, Digital & PR working with the Welsh Netball Communications Officer
    • Development and delivery of the commercial strategy and business plan for the sustainable growth of the Celtic Dragons and Welsh Netball

    Profile
    Relationship management is a key part of the role and the successful candidate must be able to confidently and professionally lead, influence, promote and communicate across a range of high profile platforms. You will act for, and behalf of, the Franchise as spokesperson and key point of contact.
    • To build and develop effective and constructive working relations with all existing partners/sponsors/investors
    • Sponsorship activation and liaison
    • Management of media requests and athlete appearances
    • Internal communications.
    • National franchise engagement – represent Celtic Dragons at VNSL meetings
    • Corporate, commercial and political networking.

    Governance.
    Ensure that the Franchise is operated as an effective, transparent organisation, driven by strong corporate governance, financial planning, risk assessment and internal control frameworks and procedures.

    • Develop a clear strategy and implement an effective reporting system into the Board.

    Person Specification
    Essential Criteria
    • Degree or equivalent qualification
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role at senior or middle management level, with responsibility for effective management of people, systems and policies and developing operational and/or commercial strategy.
    • Good understanding of best practice in respect of financial and operational management.
    • Experience of working with the media.
    • Experience of effective policy development.
    • Experience of building effective relationships with external stakeholders and partners.

    Contract: This is a maternity cover post for a minimum of 6 months.

    Hours of Work: Such hours as necessary to carry out your duties. This will involve a minimum of 37 hours per week and may include working outside normal office hours at evenings and weekends and on Public Holidays.

    Location: The normal places of work are Manchester and Loughborough, however the EIS may from time to time require you to travel to and work at other offices. International travel will be required for approximately 10–12 weeks per annum.

    ROLE SUMMARY

    This role will provide the delivery and development of Physiotherapy support to World Class Programme (WCP) athletes during both training and competition, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create a world class high performance environment. The successful candidate will develop collaborative partnerships with the National Netball Super League franchises and EIS colleagues to ensure high quality performance impacting physiotherapy delivery throughout the NSL season.

    MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

    Work with the Technical Lead Physiotherapist, identified NGB staff and Performance Lead to improve performance through developing, implementing and evaluating physiotherapy services.

    Deliver high quality physiotherapy services to England Netball Podium Squad athletes within in a high performance training camp environment as well as at international camps and competitions.
    Work with the England Head Coach, assistant coaches, multidisciplinary support team and athletes to identify individual physiotherapy and rehabilitation requirements.
    Oversee the deployment of a small number of contractor physiotherapists to support the National Academy program as required.
    Ensure that the delivery of the physiotherapy service effectively meets its commitments to athletes, coaches and the National Governing Bodies.
    Where appropriate, inform and educate athletes and coaches in injury rehabilitation and management programmes and injury prevention strategy to enhance performance.
    Maintain a comprehensive, indexed database of work conducted with athletes and coaches.
    Utilise the electronic medical records system (PDMS) for accurate record keeping.
    Participate in project work or applied research across the organisation as appropriate.
    Within the rules of professional confidentiality liaise with athletes, parents, coaches and other support staff as appropriate.
    Comply with Professional Codes of Conduct, standards and guidelines.
    Contribute to knowledge sharing and development across the organisation to support the development of world class physiotherapy services.

    St Georges University of London Netball are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious netball coach to help take our 4 student netball sports teams to the next level. Previous experience required and preferably the role requires you to have at least a Level 2 coaching award however open to discussion if previous proven results.
    Coaches will be required to organise and deliver weekly coaching sessions, help with team selection and liaise with the team captains and the netball president.
