    The Mornington Chasers are one of London’s most established running clubs. Formed in Camden in 1986, we are renowned for being a friendly and inclusive club. Our membership covers all distances, surfaces and types of runner from athletes who compete internationally to those who simply wish to run with like-minded people.

    We are seeking to appoint a new Head Coach to lead our Thursday evening training sessions. The responsibilities of the Head Coach include:

    • Designing and delivering the Thursday training programme throughout the year.
    • Playing an active role in the club’s coaching team to ensure that the needs of our members are met by the club’s wider programme.
    • Being forward thinking, creative and committed to raising the profile of Mornington Chasers as a community sports club and as a competitive London club – and of course maintaining our reputation as friendly and inclusive!

    British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.

    Welsh Triathlon is one of the three Home Nations of British Triathlon, the other two being Triathlon Scotland and Triathlon England. The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of British Triathlon.

    Welsh Triathlon are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to work within the Cardiff Triathlon Performance Centre to develop performance athletes. This full time position will look to further develop the Performance Centre to be a recognised British Performance Centre, working with University of Cardiff and Cardiff Metropolitan University (and other institution partnerships which may be developed) to support the continued development of triathletes at all levels, delivering success.

    OFFICE MANAGER & EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

    After the success of London 2012, and now looking forward to Rio 2016, Pentathlon GB is seeking an experienced, friendly and dynamic individual to be part of a small team to continue the process of managing and modernising the sport’s National Governing Body.

    The post holder will be responsible for the management of administrative functions with line management responsibilities at Pentathlon GB and will also be the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.

    The exciting new role is a full-time post based at Pentathlon GB’s Head Office at the University of Bath but will have some requirement to travel in the UK from time to time – including providing support at national events.

    SUPPORT OFFICER

    The Triathlon Trust is the official charity of British Triathlon (reg charity 1138183), active since 2013. It delivers multi-sport activities and events to young people (targeting 8-14 yr olds) to encourage them to lead more active and healthy lifestyles.

    It has experienced 50% growth rates in the number of ‘active days delivered’ year on year. In 2015 it recorded 50,000 active days delivered since startup.

    The Trust delivers events across the length and breadth of UK, working with the Home Nations of England, Scotland and Wales.  Office support for the Trust is provided by the British Triathlon office based in Loughborough.  As the scale of activity continues to increase a dedicated support role is being created, based in Loughborough.

    The CEO and other team members work from home and are based around the country.

    This role will work in the British Triathlon office at Loughborough University, providing support to the Triathlon Trust across a range of functions.  Role holders will be expected to work flexibly, to support the needs of the Trust, providing a variety of experience and opportunity to develop new skills.  The role holder will also join the delivery team as required to assist in the delivery of events.

    As the Trust is quite small, the role holder will be required to get involved with a wide variety of areas including:

    • Finance
    • School liaison and bookings
    • Event delivery

    • Website and social media management
    • General administration

    London Marathon Events Writer

    The Job
    We are looking for a talented writer to join the small editorial team in our busy publishing department (print and digital).

    You will work across our magazines, websites, e-newsletters and event information collateral, and your key responsibilities will include:

    •Putting together e-newsletters to event participants – who range from families that have signed up to take part in Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle to ‘good-for-age’ marathon runners.
    •Managing our expanding event e-newsletter schedule and liaising with sponsors and partners to ensure their content and images are received on time.
    •Writing service features on training, nutrition, gear etc across a variety of disciplines to ensure our event participants have the necessary information to prepare well for our events. You will interview pro athletes and coaches and liaise with charities and participants to create compelling human-interest stories ahead of our events. You will also work with colleagues from The London Marathon Charitable Trust to deliver content.
    •Leading on the production of specific event information to ensure participants receive simple, clear instructions ahead of an event.
    •Sub-editing operational collateral, such as road closure leaflets, event signage, race manuals, volunteer handbooks etc.
    •Uploading content onto our event websites.
    •Working as part of the Press Office team at all LMEL events, writing press releases and news stories and interviewing pro athletes and participants.

    Skills and experience

    •You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a publishing environment (print or digital) or similar.
    •You will have a fluent, lucid writing style and display meticulous attention to detail in spelling, grammar and tone.
    •You will combine excellent editorial skills with a sound understanding of writing for the web, newsletters and magazines. A working knowledge of InDesign is essential.
    •You will have a good general knowledge of – and keen interest in – running, cycling and swimming.
    •You will be a self-starter who is detail-oriented and highly organised.
    •You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in project and time management.
    •You will be a team player with a positive outlook and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-changing environment.

    The Job
    We are looking for a talented website administrator to work in our busy publishing department (print and digital) to support our small editorial team.

    You will work as part of the editorial team responsible for delivering seven world-class event websites and a variety of magazines, e-newsletters, booklets and operational literature, and your key responsibilities will include:

    •Overseeing our event websites to ensure they are accurate and current. To achieve this accuracy, you will liaise with our entries, helpdesk and operations departments to ensure all event information is up-to-date.
    •Responding to e-newsletter subscriber queries and managing subscriber databases.
    •Uploading content onto our event websites.

    Skills and experience

    •You will have a minimum of one year’s experience working in a publishing environment.
    •You will be a brilliant administrator who is detail-oriented, highly organised and who has the confidence to approach other departments and individuals within LMEL to chase the content you need to ensure the websites are always up-to-date.
    •You will have sound sub-editing skills, which you are keen to develop. Basic knowledge of Photoshop would also be an advantage.
