    Welcome to the London Aquatics Centre Performance Programme (LACPP). Based at the iconic and world class London Aquatics Centre on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The LACPP provides a talent pathway to elite swimming success from ASA learn to swim level 7 through to Elite senior swimmers. Formed in 2014, as part of the Olympic Legacy, the programme is nearing the end of year 2 and has nearly 100 members already. We have 5 Legacy Squads for entry level competitive swimming, through to National Youth and National Senior squads with Olympic and National level swimmers.

    The programme is now seeking experienced and enthusiastic qualified coaches, with a good understanding of LTAD, to join our coaching team and support the National Youth Coach in delivering coaching across our Legacy and National Youth squads, as we seek to expand from the new swimming season in September. Successful applicants will receive quality mentoring from our head coach Lisa Bates, who is representing Team GB this summer with the Olympic swimming squad. Coaches will also receive CPD support to ensure they can become the best coach possible for the programme.

    • UKCC Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
    • Understanding of LTAD
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends to cover training, competitions and club-related meetings
    • Currently hold or willing to undergo a DBS check with the ASA

    Scottish Swimming is looking to contract a Safeguarding Officer to work alongside the CEO and Director of Services to drive forward all wellbeing, safeguarding and child protection activity for Scottish Swimming.

    As Safeguarding Officer, you will be the first point of contact for dealing with wellbeing; safeguarding and child protection cases and you will work closely with key groups to ensure that Scottish Swimming’s policies are updated in line with legislation.

    Key Functions:

    The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) is the national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water and synchronised swimming in England. With its head office based at the stunning SportPark on the Loughborough University campus, it is at an exciting point in its evolution. Under new senior management, the ASA are leading the aquatics industry to achieve increased participation in swimming (already the number one participation sport in the UK).

    The Participation team is responsible for driving growth in swimming through all means necessary. This ranges from influencing facility provision throughout the country; understanding and utilising the government’s health agenda to encourage new audiences to swim; providing new and innovative products and pool programmes that appeal to people’s personal motivations; and working with our industry partners to improve the overall experience on the ground for people wanting to swim.

    Reporting to the Divisional Lead, the Area Swimming Manager will play a key role in delivering the ASA’s new Participation Strategy. You will be responsible for managing and driving the ASA’s relationship with a number of pool operators and other partners in a given geographic area, driving a culture of high performance and achievement to ensure more people are swimming, more often. You will also be responsible for driving the achievement of wider organisational key performance indicators in line with the ASA’s Participation Strategy which includes taking on a specialist work area for your divisional team (these include Health, Workforce and Products).
