Who are we?
London Marathon Events Limited organises some of the biggest and best mass-participation sports events in the UK, including the Virgin Money London Marathon, the Prudential RideLondon festival of cycling and the London 10,000.

London Marathon Events Junior Graphic Designer

The Job
We are looking for a talented junior graphic designer to join our busy publishing department (digital and print). You will work as part of the design team responsible for delivering seven world-class event websites and a variety of e-newsletters, magazines, booklets and operational literature.

You will work across our websites, e-newsletters, magazines and event information collateral, and your key responsibilities will include:

•Assisting the web manager with all digital design work on our seven event websites.
•Maintaining the sites and uploading content, including images and video.
•Designing event e-newsletters and liaising with sponsors and partners when required.

Skills and experience
•You will have a design degree, be a recent graduate, and be proficient in Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
•You will be familiar with HTML and feel equally comfortable designing for print or digital, with a portfolio that reflects this diversity.
•You will be keen to develop your design skills working across a broad range of award-winning running and cycling events.
•You will be personable, friendly and outgoing; a team player with a positive outlook and the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
•You will be organised, able to manage your time effectively and have a sharp eye for detail.
•You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and have proven experience in project management.
•You will have a good general knowledge of – and keen interest in – swimming, cycling and running.

You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends when necessary at our events, which include Virgin Money London Marathon, Prudential RideLondon, adidas Silverstone Half Marathon, Westminster Mile, London 10,000 and Standard Chartered Great City Race.

This is not just a desk job. We are one of the very best events companies in the world and our team is small but committed – only apply if you are prepared to join in, work across disciplines and help to make our events even better. This could mean anything from helping out in a busy press office to heavy physical work with the operations department.

The closing date for applications: Monday 8th February 2016
